Senior Library Customer Advisor

Working Hours: 37 hours per week contract

Salary: £26,824 (£13.90/hour) for Level 1, £27,254 (£14.13/hour) for Level 2 (subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period)

About the Role

Senior Library Customer Advisor at Nottingham Central Library. The role involves planning and leading children's events and activities, assisting library users with job applications, book selection, and enhancing overall library experience. You will provide high-level customer service, inspire patron engagement with reading, culture, and learning resources, and support the delivery of arts and cultural services.

You will also lead a team of up to five staff and report to a Customer Service Manager, driving continuous improvement of library services.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience with managing small teams or projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to deliver high-level customer service to diverse citizens
• Strong team player mindset
• Experience delivering events or activities for children and young adults
• Strong organisational, multitasking and prioritisation skills
• DBS enhanced check for regulated activity (required)
