Senior Legal Counsel (Mandarin speaking, 60k-100k, Technology, London)

You have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join a London based technology company. The company is a multinational food distribution platform with offices in major cities around the world.

The Senior Legal Counsel provides general legal assistance to the General Counsel, Lead Counsel, and Advisor on legal matters pertaining to the client's various entities' operations and governance.

Provide general legal assistance to the executive team, advising on legal matters related to the client's operations and governance.

• Master's degree in law or a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience, ideally with a recognized law firm or an in house senior legal position, and demonstrated administrative skills and experience in a major global business.
• Proven expertise in Litigation and/or International Finance, Corporate Law, Development, Private and Public International Law, and knowledge of major international law firms or organisations operating in a multi jurisdictional setting.
• Demonstrated ability to apply legal interpretation principles and to provide a full range of strategic legal advisory services in line with the internet food distribution industry policy, needs, and situation.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight and as part of a multicultural team.
• Effective consulting and advisory skills that empower the organisation and help the business operation team develop trust and skills to deal with complex, multi jurisdictional legal issues.
• Ability to drive change while remaining agile, open minded, and honest.
• Strong communication, team building, organisational, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in either Chinese or English, and working knowledge of the other language.
• Proficiency with standard Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Mandarin and English fluency.
