About this job

The role is a Clinical Research Fellow in Gynaecology, expected to be at an ST3 trainee level. Candidates will undertake a postgraduate degree, registering and self funding an MPhil with the University of Manchester, with the potential to convert this to an MD depending on progress.

Clinical work will be predominantly daytime Gynaecology, with on call duties that include Obstetrics. The split between academic and clinical time is 60%/40%.

Post selection, candidates should apply for Out of Programme Research (OOPR) if currently in a training post.

Eligibility & Requirements
  • ST3 level of clinical training (or equivalent)
  • Strong motivation to pursue a postgraduate degree (MPhil/MD)
  • Experience in research or a willingness to undertake clinical research projects
  • Commitment to a 60/40 academic/clinical split and on call duties
  • Ability to self fund academic registration and register for OOPR if required
