CONTRACT TYPE: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, Full Time

LOCATION: Flexible (London or Birmingham preferable)

PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £29,300 - £39,000 per annum depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

This is a unique opportunity to help the BBC Academy shape and deliver its response to the BBC's workplace Culture Review.

In partnership with our approved suppliers the BBC Academy helps managers explore what it means to be an Enterprise Leader, supporting their learning with a range of development opportunities.

You'll play a key operational role within the BBC's Leadership Development team, working at pace to ensure that all managers develop the skills, knowledge and mindset to lead themselves, their teams and the BBC.

You'll be working with leaders at all levels across the BBC, supporting them to reach their potential and deliver the BBC's strategic and cultural ambitions.

As aSenior Learning Advisor,you'll be the maestro behind the scenes, ensuring leadership programmes and resources are scheduled and coordinated seamlessly, all while keeping an eye on costs. You'll be the captain of efficiency, ensuring that every task aligns perfectly with our goals.

WHY JOIN THE TEAM

This role supports the delivery of the BBC's Leadership Development Portfolio and internal events by managing logistics, scheduling, and communications. Responsibilities include setting up courses on the Learning Management System, coordinating virtual and in-person sessions, handling supplier payments, and providing on-site support. The role requires budget tracking and ensuring a seamless experience for trainers and participants.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team to deliver a high level of customer service.
  • You will need experience of managing conflicting priorities and juggling workload, planning and organising, working to tight deadlines and showing attention to detail.
  • It's essential to build excellent relationships with Trainers, Training Managers, stakeholders and other colleagues within the Academy and wider business.
  • It is important to identify opportunities for collaboration and to ensure that resources are used efficiently, whilst still meeting the training need.
  • You will need to be able to influence and negotiate effectively with key colleagues, customers and stakeholders (both internal and external) and to proactively identify problems and find efficient, creative solutions to business challenges.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Experience in planning and organising multiple complex projects with attention to detail, to tight deadlines, often with conflicting priorities and under pressure.
  • Influence and negotiate effectively across a large and varied group including with senior managers.
  • Work to a budget and understand financial data.
  • Utilise well-developed communication and interpersonal skills orally and in writing, to suit different audiences.
  • Demonstrate IT literacy and experience working with business systems and a good knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED :

  • Demonstrate knowledge of learning/HR systems and processes such as Success Factors and SAP reporting.
