The EPFL campus provides an exceptional working environment at the heart of a community of more than people, including nearly students and researchers from over 120 different nationalities.Senior Lawyer (80%)MissionWorking within the Legal Affairs of the Office of the President and the Provost, you will advise the Management and all units responsible for the mission including the faculty.Main tasks and responsibilities- Legal analysis and public law advice to the relevant units on all matters and projects related to the drafting of orders and regulations, along with internal follow-up and, where applicable, conducting the process before federal authorities.- Management of litigation and EPFL procedures before the Internal Appeals Commission of the Federal Institutes of Technology and higher instances, drafting decisions of first instance related to studies at EPFL, including disciplinary matters, as well as drafting and revising other legal acts such as inter-institutional agreements.- Resolution of complex disputes and cases related to EPFL's activities as a university body in Swiss law (Bachelor and Master or degree). Professional experience of at least 5 years as a lawyer in a public institution or as a clerk at a court in public law.- Excellent mastery of general law, constitutional law, and procedure; ideally, good knowledge of copyright law and protection, and/or experience in legislative drafting.- Ability to work in a complex professional environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to grasp diverse issues and propose solutions if necessary.- Strong writing skills and ability to communicate legal content clearly for non-specialists, with a sense of responsibility, reliability, and a spirit of collaboration.- Proficient in French and English (oral and written); good understanding of German in the legal field is an asset.We offer- A stimulating and multicultural working environment- Working conditions _ Start date: by June 1Type of contract: Permanent (CDI)Activity rate: 80% jide28bc6caen jit0310aen jpiy26aen
