Senior Java Developer

You will collaborate with designers, analysts, and fellow developers in an agile environment, creating and improving new and existing products and services. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects and contribute to innovative technical solutions.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based applications (Java 17 or later).
• Work within a microservices architecture, delivering high-quality, test-driven code.
• Implement APIs for both internal and external use.
• Participate in pair programming and agile ceremonies.
• Build and maintain robust automated test suites to support continuous deployment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges.
• Provide occasional second-line application support.

Whatthe client is looking for:

• Strong recent experience with Java 17+.
• Proven background in TDD and BDD.
• Experience with microservice architecture in high-traffic environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Experience with Unix-like operating systems.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Jackson, JAX-RS, Mockito, ActiveMQ or Kafka.
• Experience with MongoDB or other document databases.
• Background in scaling high-traffic websites and handling large datasets.
