About the Role

Join a prestigious long-term IT project at a major EU institution.

We're looking for a Senior Java & Cloud Developer to design, build, and maintain modern, secure software systems that handle legislative and legal documents across the EU. You'll work on complex technical solutions within a hybrid team environment, combining hands-on development with solution design and integration.

This position offers a 4-year contract, a hybrid setup (2 days onsite per week in Luxembourg), and the opportunity to contribute to software systems used across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-based and on-premise software systems for document management and dissemination.

• Build and integrate microservices, APIs (REST/SOAP), and scalable Java-based components.

• Implement data ingestion, processing, and storage pipelines in cloud environments (AWS).

• Support solution design, UI implementation, testing, and rollout.

• Collaborate with developers, architects, and EU stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure delivery.

• Maintain technical documentation and participate in project and stakeholder meetings.

Technical Skills

• Languages & Frameworks: Java, JavaScript (NodeJS), Spring Boot

• Web & APIs: RESTful, SOAP, Microservices architecture

• Formats: Akoma Ntso (AKN4EU), XML, HTML, XHTML, Formex

• Databases: Oracle, MySQL, PL/SQL

• Cloud & DevOps: AWS (EC2, S3, Terraform), Docker, Atlassian suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Bamboo)

• Application Servers: WebLogic, Tomcat

• Testing & QA: Sonar, JUnit, MUnit

Your Profile

• Proven experience in software engineering and cloud solution design.

• Strong skills in Java development and microservices-based architecture.

• Experience with document management or data publishing systems is a plus.

• Familiar with AWS, Docker, and modern DevOps pipelines.

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities in English (C1) and French (B2)

• EU citizenship required (for project security clearance).
