Why Confluence?

At Confluence, we've always been driven by a commitment to innovation, precision, and partnership in the investment data space. Our global footprint now spans multiple countries, giving our employees the opportunity to get exposure to other countries and cultures. And it stands to reason that none of this would have been possible without the hundreds of hard working employees who work at Confluence.

More about the role & team

We're looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator - Networking to join Confluence in a hands on, senior networking role supporting enterprise infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation and into steady state operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining project delivery with operational ownership - designing robust solutions, embedding them into support, and acting as a trusted technical escalation point for complex networking issues.

You'll play a key role in our network transformation programme, supporting cloud migration initiatives and SD WAN deployment across a global environment.

This is more than a traditional network support role. You'll have end-to-end involvement across design, implementation, optimisation and troubleshooting, with the opportunity to influence technical decisions and shape the future of our infrastructure landscape.

You'll act as a Subject Matter Expert across networking technologies, helping to build internal capability, mentor colleagues and reduce reliance on third party vendors.

  • Delivering and supporting enterprise infrastructure projects from design through implementation and into operational support.
  • Acting as a networking SME across troubleshooting, optimisation and knowledge sharing.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives including cloud migration and SD WAN implementation.
  • Serving as a senior technical escalation point for complex networking issues.
  • Driving improvements in network performance, resilience and operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining infrastructure health through firmware updates, patching and configuration management.
  • Supporting knowledge transfer and mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Collaborating with infrastructure, security and technology teams to ensure successful project delivery.
What skills and experience do I need to succeed? Essential requirements
  • Experience within SaaS or cloud-based environments.
  • Exposure to virtualisation technologies such as VMware.
  • Experience with enterprise storage platforms, including NetApp.
  • Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Terraform or Ansible.
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration or infrastructure modernisation programmes.
  • Previous SD WAN implementation experience.
What do we offer?

Confluence offers generous benefit packages for team members. As a growing, global organization, we are always looking for ways to ensure that our employees can access benefits that matter to them and their families. This includes:

  • Generous Time Off packages including additional half days with each public holiday in your location.
  • Global Career Development opportunities
  • Social Events
  • Referral Bonus scheme - Upto $3,000 per successful referral
  • Plus many more!
More about the Location

We offer flexible working options for all employees.

This role can be based in either Dublin or London.

The successful candidate will be comfortable supporting occasional out-of-hours maintenance, project work and critical incidents when required. Some infrastructure changes may need to be completed outside standard business hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Travel requirements are expected to be low, with occasional travel when business needs require it.
