The Applied Innovation Exchange is seeking a talented individual who possessesinfinite curiosity to work with our UK team in our innovation exchange in the heartof London.
You'll be part of a small team of makers, breakers, doers and disruptors who love to solve real problems and meet real customer needs.
Your primary role will be to work with our team, clients and partners to create newproducts, services and systems to drive meaningful change. As a user centreddesign advocate, you will deliver value for our clients and have a strong portfolioand track record to remonstrate this. Not only do you understand the value ofdesign, but you are also able to communicate this in engaging ways to clients andinternal stakeholders.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employmentchecks, including:
identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)
- Shape our team's design strategy and direction, a leader in how we deliver impact through design.
- Help guide our overall innovation strategy and that of the wider businessthrough design leadership, prototyping, market research and experimentation.
- Lead the delivery of new products, services, capabilities and systems from adesign standpoint at pace, from "problem to pilot
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams to design, prototype and build cutting edge solutions and future concepts
- Communicate the value of business led design to clients in ways that generatecuriosity, a desire to apply innovation
- Deliver quality design work, from performing research to high quality and wellrefined UX/UI, using collaboration tools like Figma and inspire the clientstowards design standards and systems
- Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, experiments & design sprintswith internal design team members or with clients to define design direction

Your skills and experience- 4+ years experience in a similar design-led innovation role.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to really engage with and understand stakeholders
- Ideally some experience of taking a product to market by working closely with developers and client stakeholders at pace
- Ideally an understanding of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT or Mixed Reality
- Strong grasp of the design process from research and human centred design
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
