UCL HR is a service driven function of approximately 140 HR professionals, working closely alongside our eleven academic faculties and our nine professional services divisions and the President and Provost's Offices to understand and collaborate on their priorities, opportunities and challenges. The HR People Partnering Team supports the development and implementation of people strategies to over 17,500 staff across faculties, professional Services Divisions and Vice Provost/Presidents' Offices, comprising academic, clinical, research, teaching and faculty/central professional services staff
About the roleYou'll work at the heart of Professional Services, partnering closely with senior leaders to shape and deliver impactful people strategies that attract, develop and retain exceptional talent.
In this highly influential role, you'll play a pivotal part in organisational transformation-leading and supporting complex change initiatives, ensuring that people impacts are thoughtfully managed. You will strengthen leadership capability across the organisation, embedding best practice in workforce planning, talent management, performance, and employee engagement, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Crucially, you will lead and develop a team of HR People Partners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, consistent and impactful HR support across multiple areas. You'll enable success through others-providing clear direction, coaching and support, and building capability across the team-while also remaining hands on with key strategic priorities.
Please note, this is a full time role offered on a hybrid working basis with currently a minimum of 2-days per week onsite at your London Kings Cross office (Monday and one other), subject to change.

About youWe're looking for an experienced HR professional with strong business partnering and change expertise, a proven track record of influencing at senior level, and the ability to translate data and insight into clear, actionable strategies. You will bring a collaborative and resilient approach, with the confidence to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
Utilising your previous experience, you are passionate about developing people and teams as well as championing equality, diversity and inclusion with commitment to delivering meaningful, sustainable change in a complex, values-driven environment.
Additionally you will bring team leadership skills along with previous experience line managing staff members and coaching direct reports in their career development.
