Senior HR Manager - 6 month FTC

We are currently partnering with a well-established and growing organisation based in St Albans to recruit an experienced HR Manager or HR Business Partner with a strong generalist background on an 6-month fixed-term contract during a period of transition and change. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands on HR professional to make a real impact across the full employee lifecycle within a fast paced environment.
The OpportunityReporting directly to the HR Director, you will take ownership of a broad range of HR activities, ensuring best practice, compliance, and a high quality employee experience across the business. This role requires a confident self starter who can drive initiatives through to completion with precision and consistency.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert support on employee relations matters and coach managers
- Manage end to end recruitment and partner with managers on hiring needs
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and lead HR audits (e.g. RTW, GDPR, IR35)
- Produce HR reports and insights using HRIS data
- Act as HRIS lead, maintaining data accuracy and improving system functionality
- Support salary benchmarking, pay reviews, and benefits processes
- Drive performance management and support learning & development initiatives
- Proven HR Manager experience across the full employee lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience with HRIS systems (ideally Cascade/IRIS) and data reporting
- Demonstrated success managing recruitment, audits, and ER cases
- High attention to detail with a "completer finisher" mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively
- Competitive salary up to £68,000 pro rata
