Job Description

Senior HR Advisor, £45,000 Per Annum, Manchester or Leeds, Hybrid

Macmillan Davies is proud to be partnering with a global and dynamic professional services firm in search of a Senior HR Advisor. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to act as a trusted ER specialist, working closely with senior stakeholders and line managers to deliver policy-led people solutions that support both day-to-day operations and long-term organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to managers on all aspects of employee relations, providing expert guidance in line with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Managing and advising on the full employee lifecycle, including new starter onboarding, leaver processes, maternity and parental leave conversations, and contractual changes.
  • Leading and advising on formal and informal ER procedures, such as disciplinary, grievance, and capability processes, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Coaching and equipping managers to confidently handle sensitive conversations, including performance concerns, absence management, and conduct issues.
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote a culture of open communication, engagement, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Reviewing and applying HR policies to ensure consistency of practice across the business and supporting managers in interpreting and implementing them effectively.
  • Working closely with HR Admin to ensure accurate management information.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a Senior HR generalist role with a strong focus on employee relations and policy application, ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Confident in coaching managers and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
