The Role

The Senior Fund Accountant will become part of a sector-focused accounting team consisting of a manager and 12 professionals. In this role, they will deliver high-quality accounting services and provide financial insight to clients in the Private Equity space.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing client-specific reports, assisting with complex transactions, and coordinating with tax advisors on VAT and CIT filings. The Senior Fund Accountant will also contribute to projects, support colleagues with less experience, and help ensure seamless service delivery across internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual financial statements;
  • Review accounting entries (e.g. accruals, interest calculations, investment property activity, lease incentives), in line with Dutch GAAP and US GAAP;
  • Validate capital contribution requests and distribution calculations;
  • Review and analyze cash flow statements;
  • Prepare tailored monthly financial reports for clients;
  • Coordinate and submit VAT and CIT returns in collaboration with tax advisors;
  • Prepare audit documentation and support statutory audits;
  • Respond to client-specific accounting inquiries;
  • Act as the main contact for internal coordination across departments;
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, shareholders, auditors, banks, and other stakeholders;
  • Support related administrative tasks such as bank account openings and tax registrations;
  • Work closely with global service teams and provide coaching as needed.


Candidate Profile

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in accounting or audit;
  • At least 2 years of experience in mentoring or managing junior finance staff;
  • A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, or a related discipline.
