Senior Full Stack Engineer : MSquared Engineering United Kingdom MSquared United Kingdom MSquared
Posted 7 hours 11 minutes ago by Improbable Worlds Limited
We are seeking a skilled engineering and product hybrid developer to join our team in building our metaverse engine and platform. You will be an integral part of a dynamic, cross-functional team of adaptable, creative, and product-focused engineers who prioritize delivering impactful, high-quality software and experiences. Your responsibilities will include developing new systems within the MSquared platform and taking technical ownership of product directions and discovery.
Shape the vision and strategy for the platform by contributing to the product roadmap and acting as a sounding board for technical leadership.
Collaborate with product specialists, full-stack and infrastructure engineers to develop and maintain services in production.
Design and build user-facing features using React and modern Web technologies, ensuring smooth and intuitive user experiences.
Engage with stakeholders to understand user needs, define requirements, and develop practical, scalable solutions.
Contribute to team strategy, tooling, process, and culture
We're Looking For
Proven experience: in software development and maintaining user-facing production services.
Front-end focus: deep understanding of React (ideally with Next.js) and responsive UI design.
Backend proficiency: TypeScript (or other modern equivalent) full-stack development, including scalable serverless architectures, real-time technologies like WebSockets, and accounting for runtime safety in application design.
Experience in product development, with a focus on delivering user value and intuitive, seamless user experiences.
Skilled in prototyping and rapid iteration, comfortable delivering solutions quickly, iterating based on feedback, and evolving features to maximise impact.
Cloud technologies know-how: hands-on experience with cloud technologies (ideally GCP, but equivalent experience with AWS or Azure is also acceptable) and designing clear, maintainable APIs.
Comfortable switching contexts across multiple projects, collaborating across product and engineering teams.
Relevant industry experience: Any experience working in a game engine-focused business or on similar products is a strong plus.
While we think the above experience could be important, we're keen to hear from people who believe they have valuable experience to bring to the role. If you identify with the team and mission, but not all of our requirements, then please still apply.
