YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the Group, you will join the GIA department whose mission is to ensure that Group investments are allocated efficiently and safely in compliance with Group regulatory internal constraints.

The Senior Fixed Income Strategist position sits in the Fixed Income Strategy and EM team which manages Group Investments in liquid assets and ensures the stability of AXA Credit book.

The Senior Fixed Income Strategy and EM Team is in charge of providing investment recommendations on all public fixed income asset classes and managing Group EM Investments. The team consists of the Chief Fixed Income Strategist and EM, 1 Senior Fixed Income Strategist, 1 EM Credit Officer and 3 EM Credit Analysts. The team also works closely with the rest of the Group Investment Department, including 22 DM credit analysts and 2 EM sovereign analysts to ensure the stability of AXA Public Credit Book (AuM at c.€275bn)

Your missions :

• As a Senior Fixed Income Strategist, you provide investment recommendations for Global Fixed Income asset classes (€31.7bn investments in 2024) to ensure efficient allocation of Group investments. Your recommendations will be communicated to various stakeholders from AXA Local entities to Senior Management through the Group Investment Committee ("GIC") or other forums such as Chief Investment Officers meetings or the EM Center of Expertise (EM CoE).
• Assess and monitor the Global RV & Credit Strategy for Fixed Income asset classes including Rates and Credit in both DM and EM markets.
• Monitor Financial Markets in general and EM in particular for new investment opportunities and risks; recommend action plans or changes in investment strategy.
• Contribute to setting, monitoring, and ensure proper deployment of the investment plan.
• Assist the Chief Fixed Income Strategist and EM in the oversight of EM investments; this would include Asset Allocation, Performance and Portfolio review, leading Due Diligence on external asset managers.
• Review and update the EM Investment framework to ensure the efficient investments of Group Investments. This also includes steering the EM CoE regrouping AXA entities and Asset Managers to ensure proper implementation of AXA Group's investment plan.
• Work closely with other members of the Group Alternative & Credit Team and participate in Credit Rating and Investment Committees.
• Work with the Group's Asset Managers globally.

Key accountabilities:

• Communicate your views and recommendations to various stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Monthly and ad-hoc updates on RV and Credit Strategy
• Steer Asset Managers and Entities to ensure efficient implementation of investment plan and recommendations.
• Investment memos and investment strategy reviews

YOUR PROFILE

• High level technical skills and "seasoned" expertise in Financial markets and Fixed Income asset classes subsets to ensure proper recommendations in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment.
• Open-minded and curious mind to think out of box and seize opportunities in a changing environment.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written, to support views, opinions, and recommendations.
• Ability to interact with other teams to perform transversal tasks and deliver One AXA goal.
• Flexible and good at multi-tasking to manage different projects and tight deadlines if need be.

The targeted background for the Senior Fixed Income Strategist includes:

• Master's degree in Economics, Finance or Business
• More than 10 years of experience in FI (portfolio manager, credit analyst, credit strategist, etc) in financial institutions
• Fluency in written and spoken English. French can be a plus
• CFA or equivalent can be a plus
