About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Senior Finance Operations Specialist to strengthen our growing finance function at nLighten. In this key role, you will contribute directly to the financial health of the nLighten Group by managing complex multi-entity operations, supporting pan-European reporting, and optimizing processes to scale with our business. This position offers high visibility across our European footprint and significant opportunities to drive impact.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Maintain accurate and timely accounting for assigned nLighten entities in accordance with group policies.
- Lead and optimize month-end close processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring alignment with cash flow objectives.
- Support group cash flow planning, intercompany funding, and reconciliation activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, local GAAP, and IFRS.
- Assist in tax compliance, including VAT, CIT, and other local obligations, and support tax audits.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and internal management reports with high accuracy and insight.
- Liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth audit cycles.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and tax reporting obligations across multiple European entities.
- Stay current with evolving financial regulations and advise on implications for the group.
System & Process Improvement
- Identify, lead, and implement process improvements across accounting and reporting functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and reporting through automation.
- Contribute to the optimization of finance systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations is advantageous.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A master's degree and/or professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is a strong advantage.
- 4+ years of experience in finance operations or accounting roles, ideally in multi-entity, pan-European environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing month-end closings and financial reporting under IFRS or local GAAP
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards.
- Proficiency with Finance ERP systems; familiarity with Dynamics Finance & Operations is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Proficiency in another European language is a plus.
- Analytical thinker with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-border teams.
