Senior Finance Manager - Global Intercompany & Statutory Reporting (12 month FTC)

Location: London / Leeds / Dublin (Hybrid - 2 days per week, Dublin only). This role supports Flutter's global finance function and will lead critical workstreams in Project Polaris, driving alignment of accounting systems and automation solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and strategic value.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of qualified accountants, overseeing team and individual development, skill enhancement, and promotion of best practice.
• Collaborate with transfer pricing and tax teams on the accounting for inter company arrangements.
• Lead the Operational Transfer Pricing (OTP) review controls - a key SOX control.
• Work with Transfer Pricing and multiple Flutter divisions to align closing EBIT positions with expectations and explain deviations.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, working with the internal controls team and external auditors to ensure SOX compliance and provide evidence and walkthroughs.
• Review and approve monthly journal postings for accuracy and compliance, covering debt, interest, FX, monthly recharges and transfer pricing.
• Handle projects related to finance transformation as required.
• Participate in Project Polaris, collaborating with system teams, Deloitte and other stakeholders to design and implement new finance systems such as the inter company workbench and ARCS.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Inter company, statutory reporting, Treasury, Tax, external auditors, brands, divisions and regulators.
• Review financial packs for assigned departments, providing high level analysis and variance commentary.
• Support ad hoc projects, including onboarding and integration of new businesses during inorganic growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with 6 8+ years of progressive experience, preferably in a multinational / plc environment or a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Experience in statutory reporting; knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining robust internal control environments (SOX or equivalent).
• Strong financial accounting skills with a solid grasp of current technical accounting issues.
• Experience with financial systems - Oracle and Hyperion are an advantage.
• Excellent MS Office skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Highly motivated, organized, professional, and a strong team player.
• Strong process, technical, and analytical skills with commercial competence and good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities, able to identify key issues succinctly and communicate broadly.
• High energy, drive, flexibility, and resilience to work in an entrepreneurial, dynamic environment.
• Assertive, confident, and collaborative with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver high quality work under tight reporting deadlines.
• Interest in operational improvement and automation.
• Experience with accounting for transfer pricing agreements, ideally in a large corporation.
