MISSION

The Senior Finance Business Partner (SFBP) is responsible for the on-time delivery (for assigned area) of all aspects of SUK's financial planning (budget, LE, and RF submissions), management reporting, business analysis & insight, and support aspects of the monthly close (including audit support as required). They provide business partnership to Senior SUK Leadership, supporting short-term P&L management decisions and broader strategic decisions, thereby supporting the SUK Leadership team in delivering its KPIs. They are the finance representative for their area and a key UK finance contact for EMEA Brand & Finance, responsible for explaining financial performance and outlook.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Forecasting and Business Planning
  2. Lead the annual budget, latest estimate, and rolling forecasting processes for assigned areas, ensuring timely delivery of all components (presentations, BPC, etc.) and alignment with overall business strategy and objectives.
  3. Collaborate closely with finance & business colleagues to meet all budget requests and timelines.
  4. Proactively identify and assess risks and opportunities, communicating insights to management to facilitate informed decision-making and recommend corrective actions.
  5. Drive improvements in estimate accuracy.
  6. Support S&OP process from a financial perspective.
  7. Business Partnership and Commercial Support
  8. Collaborate with LT to actively drive business performance through strategic insights and recommendations.
  9. Initiate projects to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  10. Encourage a culture of "high challenge, high support" between finance and other departments, fostering open dialogue and collaboration.
  11. Deliver comprehensive commercial analytics to support critical business decisions, including new retailer/door entries, promotional evaluations, and resource allocation.
  12. Prepare insightful commentary, presentations, and analysis for local and EMEA business reviews.
  13. Ensure adherence to accounting principles and policies, supporting monthly close activities and audit queries.
  14. Prepare management reports that are accurate, timely, actionable, and aligned with strategic goals.
  15. Team Management
  16. Develop and mentor direct reports, providing guidance during month-end cycles and variance analysis.
  17. Demonstrate deep financial and commercial acumen, applying analytical skills to influence decisions.
  18. Analyze complex financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
  19. Build relationships and influence across departments and stakeholders.
  20. Communicate financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences, including senior management.
  21. Prioritize tasks effectively under pressure, managing multiple deadlines.
  22. Manage and drive change within the finance department and organization.
  23. Promote innovation and continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
  24. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
