Senior Finance Business Partner - Stress Testing

Description
As Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll lead the team that is responsible for the co-ordination, design and telling the story of Nationwide's stress testing scenarios. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that Nationwide meets it's internal and external stress testing requirements delivering the likes of the ICAAP Pillar 2B scenario, the PRA's Bank Capital Stress Test (BCST), Recovery Plan scenarios and the Reverse Stress Test.
You will build strong relationships with teams across Nationwide and Virgin Money to undertake the end-to-end stress testing processes, using your excellent analytical skills to draw conclusions and document insights for Stress Testing Committee and Board Risk Committee enabling them to understand the financial implications to Nationwide of risks materialising. Where relevant, these documents will also be submitted to the regulator.

What you'll be doing
Leading a team, motivating and developing the Business Partner skillset whilst managing workload across the team effectively;
Working closely with the Income and Balance Sheet Modelling Centre of Excellence, business partnering team and Treasury teams to ensure a clear and comprehensive understanding of the stressed financial forecasts;
Developing and enhancing the reporting capabilities of stress testing scenarios for Nationwide and the Group;
Communicating to senior stakeholders including Nationwide's Stress Testing Committee the impact of the Group's business model and providing insight of the Group's ability to withstand a variety of different stress scenarios;
Maintaining Nationwide's stress testing frameworks and policies for the Group.
About you
As a minimum requirement, you'll need to have:
- An accounting qualification/ equivalent, with significant post qualification experience
- Proven experience in building strong working relationships with and influencing a wide-ranging level of stakeholders
- Experience in producing clear and insightful committee papers
- A strong understanding of the income and balance sheet dynamics for a bank or building society
- A proactive approach to managing workload and projects along with the ability to deal with and prioritise conflicting demands
- Drive and enthusiasm to continually enhance the insight that can be provided from stress testing
- Proven experience of working in a highly controlled environment
