Senior Facilities Manager

VANRATH is delighted to assist an award-winning Manufacturing company in recruiting a Senior Facilities Manager for their Dunmurry site.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with relevant Facility Management experience in manufacturing, plant, or similar environments.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage, maintain, and improve all plant facilities. Core duties include:

• Overseeing service contracts and evaluating outsourcing versus in-house service options.
• Leading planning, installation, and commissioning of facilities and energy projects, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
• Implementing systems to monitor gas and electricity usage across the plant.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs through supplier performance and improvement initiatives.

Essential Criteria:

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

• HND or equivalent in Building Services or Engineering, with at least 2 years' experience in a plant maintenance environment.
• Or at least 5 years' experience in a similar role within manufacturing or plant maintenance.

Additional requirements include:

• Proven team management experience
• Experience in contract negotiation
• Experience managing on-site contractors

Desirable Criteria:

Preferred but not essential qualifications and experience include:

• A degree in Building Services or Engineering
• Background in plant maintenance in continuous production settings
• Success in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
• Project management experience
