SENIOR FACILITIES ENGINEER
Our client, an Oil and Gas Operator is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Engineer with strong experience in merger acquisitions (M&A) and new ventures (NV). It is an excellent opportunity to gain broad experience across a diverse range of assets, regions, and energy sectors, including both oil & gas and renewables.
It is a PAYE contract initially until 31 March 2027.
The position is based in Uxbridge.
The role:
The successful candidate will be part of the Technical Evaluation team located in the UK, within the global Business Development Centre reporting to the Technical Evaluation Manager. This is an important role to support the client's growth targets. The role will provide an excellent opportunity to broaden experience over a wide range of assets and regions whilst also gaining exposure to the commercial aspects of M&A and NV.
The role of the BD team is to source, evaluate & recommend M&A & NV opportunities to management to enable the company's planned growth strategy to be executed in the desired timeframe. The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include the evaluation and verification of surface facility designs, schedules and costs in M&A/NV projects as part of a multidisciplinary technical team. The candidate would also need to be able to integrate and QC all the cost, schedule and production data from the different technical disciplines and convert into a consistent format for input into economics. The scope of the role will cover both Oil & Gas and renewables.
The role will support M&A and NV in the Europe & Africa Region though may also support other global opportunities.
You will:
Evaluate facility designs, development schedules in accordance to CIMS and Stage Gate Process. Provide engineering expertise in the design, development, and optimization of oil and gas production facilities.
Deliver facility parameters used in the cost estimations; Deliver facilities cost estimates and schedules
Identify key risks, mitigations and opportunities in projects, ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies in facility design and operations.
Present evaluations and recommendations to the client's Expert Review Team & Senior Management
Keep yourself familiar with new technologies and best practices relate to current M&A/NV projects for Oil & Gas as well as Renewables;
As part of the M&A due diligence process, review and comment on the proposed scope, schedule and cost associated with the project.
Assist in building CIMS processes, workflows and standards for facility evaluations
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers within the organization.
You have:
Robust experience and understanding of O&G facility engineering
Strong knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
Expertise in process simulation software and equipment sizing.
Experience in O&G facility engineering evaluation on upstream assets
General knowledge of the offshore engineering, fabrication and construction industry.
Strong analytical skill and effectively communicate technical data
Commercial awareness - recognising the value of the technical work to the

Effectively communicate about technical concepts and data, with appropriate key messages clear and unambiguous
Able to deliver appropriate quality work, often under pressure, in a timely manner without compromising integrity

At a minimum, you have:
A Bachelor's degree or above in related discipline
A professional membership with a recognised professional body
Expertise in the use of appropriate software and analytical tools
Experience with QUE$TORTM will be considered an asset
