A Leading Top 10 Main Contractor is looking for a Senior Environmental Advisor to join their team.

The main objective of the role is to develop and deploy environmental plans on a major infrastructure project.

You will:

• Develop and deploy environmental plans on a major infrastructure project.
• Provide advice to operational teams on environmental compliance, pollution control, waste, and ecology.
• Support the preparation of consents, licences, and permits, ensuring legal and contractual compliance.
• Interface with a wide variety of stakeholders, including project teams, regulators, the supply chain and the client.
• Help drive environmental and sustainability cultural changes across the project, to ensure department goals are achieved.

Further Details

Supporting the management of the environmental compliance across project sites, ensuring legal and client obligations are being met.

Monitoring site activities, including the use of plant nappies, testing local water pollution levels, monitoring dust and noise levels, and relocating wildlife habitat.

Ensuring that environmental law and client contract stipulations are being followed to avoid breaches, while efficiently making good any breaches identified by the Environment Agency or other agency visits.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for Senior Environmental Advisors or Environmental Advisors looking for career progression.

You will have a minimum of 2 years experience delivering environmental plans within any construction or engineering related industry.

You will have experience of managing and monitoring compliance against environmental authorisations (permits, licences, consent), together with managing pollution prevention and control.

You will have experience dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders, including government agencies, local authorities, and county councils.
