Senior Engineer

OUTSIDE IR35 role

We're currently seeking an experienced Consultant Senior Engineer to support ongoing flood defence works in Lowdham.

This is a critical role to provide engineering support for the construction of a "Slow the Flow" flood defence reservoir. The project involves major earthworks operations, bentonite cut-off wall installation, and surface water drainage systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee earthworks operations to ensure programme delivery and quality
2. Manage QA documentation and compliance
3. Ensure materials specification and testing controls are in place and followed
4. Provide accurate and reliable setting out support
5. Collaborate with the site team to ensure technical excellence

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on civil infrastructure or flood defence projects
2. Strong knowledge of earthworks, QA, and site compliance
3. Comfortable working on complex, heavy civils schemes
4. Ability to manage and review setting out activities
5. Geotech experience is a plus
