Senior Engineer - BIM Electrical

As a Senior Engineer - BIM Electrical, you will be responsible for the detailed development and coordination of electrical systems using Building Information Modeling (BIM) across a variety of high-profile projects in the UK, US, and Middle East. This role requires advanced technical expertise in electrical modeling and multidisciplinary coordination using industry-standard tools and practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform advanced 3D BIM modeling for electrical systems using Revit MEP in accordance with project requirements and international standards.
• Independently interpret and model from electrical drawings, mark-ups, schematics, and design documentation.
• Coordinate electrical systems with other disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, architectural, structural) using Revit and Navisworks.
• Execute detailed clash detection, tracking, and resolution processes using Navisworks Manage and BIM 360.
• Develop and maintain high-quality Revit models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with BIM execution plans and client standards.
• Prepare electrical layouts, sections, details, panel schedules, cable tray layouts, and annotated views as required for project deliverables.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems within the overall building design.
• Work with Revit Fabrication tools to support the development of fabrication-ready models and deliverables.
• Support BIM documentation efforts including the generation of as-built models, coordination reports, and issue logs.
• Stay updated with the latest BIM tools, processes, and standards relevant to electrical design.

Necessary Requirement

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in electrical BIM modeling and coordination on UK, US, and Middle East projects.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Revit Fabrication, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of electrical system design and coordination, including relevant codes and standards (IEC, NEC, BS7671, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of interfacing with mechanical and plumbing systems in BIM environments.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid work setting.
• Good communication skills for technical discussions and coordination with other team members and disciplines.
