Senior Employment Law Counsel - Europe employment law function

Responsibilities

• Advise HR and managers across Europe on a broad range of day to day employment law issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, performance management, redundancies, restructurings, employee exits and TUPE related matters.
• Provide employment law support on projects, organisational change and transformation initiatives across Europe.
• Coordinate external legal advice when needed and translate this into clear, actionable guidance for HR and the business.
• Support the development and ongoing review of employment contract templates, HR policies and risk mitigation approaches.
• Build trusted relationships with HR teams and senior stakeholders, acting as a practical business partner.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 8+ years' experience in employment law.
• Strong in house experience (highly preferred), ideally within the financial services sector or another regulated sector.
• Experience advising across multiple European jurisdictions.
• Comfortable managing high volume, complex matters with minimal supervision.
• Commercial, pragmatic, and confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
