Senior EUCAN Payroll Analyst - Dublin (Hybrid min 2 days per week in the office)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior EUCAN Payroll Analyst to join our high performing Payroll team within the wider EUCAN Finance organisation. Based in Dublin, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi functional and multicultural environment, supporting payroll operations across 23 countries.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise within a regional payroll function, gaining exposure across EUCAN while supporting payroll compliance, governance, and operational excellence. The successful candidate works closely with the EUCAN Associate Director and Payroll Manager, HR, Finance, external payroll providers, and tax advisors. You will play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across the region. This position offers broad exposure, significant responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to payroll process improvements, regional projects, and new country start ups.

Job Description

The role is responsible for ensuring all payroll controls, tax regulations, and statutory requirements are adhered to while maintaining high standards of payroll accuracy and service delivery. This position requires daily collaboration with external payroll vendors, third party suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll processing and issue resolution. The Senior Payroll Analyst will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining payroll procedures, and supporting payroll related projects and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate and review payroll inputs received from HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and populate payroll templates with payroll adjustments, employee data changes, and additional compensation information.
  • Review and process equity related transactions, ensuring inclusion in the correct payroll period and compliance with country specific regulations.
  • Ensure payrolls are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with local legislative and regulatory requirements across all assigned countries.
  • Perform month end payroll activities, reconciliations, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and provide timely and accurate payroll reporting to internal stakeholders, auditors, government agencies, and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure all payroll tax filings, statutory payments, and year end compliance obligations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and enhance payroll controls by identifying, investigating, and explaining payroll variances and reconciliations.
  • Build strong relationships with external payroll providers and service partners to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Participate in payroll related meetings, presentations, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Liaise directly with third party providers and tax authorities to resolve payroll related issues and queries.
  • Partner closely with HR to ensure the consistent and accurate flow of employee and payroll information.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors on complex payroll matters, including expatriate employees, international assignments, and equity compensation.
  • Support statutory, internal, and external audits by providing payroll data, documentation, and analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing, documenting, and enhancing payroll processes, controls, and procedures.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with new country implementations and payroll start ups.
  • Participate in regional payroll projects and transformation initiatives.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years' payroll experience, preferably within a multinational environment supporting EUMEA payroll operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of end to end payroll processing, including payroll accounting, reconciliations, controls, and compliance.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers is highly advantageous.
  • Accounting knowledge and experience are desirable but not essential.
  • Strong systems capability, with experience using payroll and HR systems; SAP knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, customer focused, and flexible approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, changing, and culturally diverse environment.
