Senior Electronic Security Systems Engineer - Eligibility for SC Clearance is ESSENTIAL

Location: Worthing, Sussex
Salary: Up to £70,000 (DOE)

A great opportunity for an experienced Electronic Security Systems Engineer to step into a senior role supporting the protection of critical infrastructure across the Southeast. You'll act as the technical lead for ESS, ensuring systems are compliant, resilient and continuously improving.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide expert guidance on Electronic Security Systems to support the organisation's wider protective security strategy.
• Ensure all security upgrades and projects meet internal security standards, relevant legislation and industry guidance.
• Collaborate with IT/OT teams, integrators and Tier 1 contractors to deliver compliant security system enhancements.
• Support the operation, maintenance and optimisation of core platforms including CCTV, IDS, Access Control and PSIM.
• Drive innovation through AI, automation and digital integration to modernise security operations.
• Work closely with the Alarm Monitoring Centre to improve system performance and incident response.
• Maintain strong relationships with system suppliers and stay ahead of emerging technologies and roadmaps.
• Promote security awareness across the business and participate in on-call duties as required.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in a similar Electronic Security Systems Engineering role (CNI/utilities experience beneficial).
• Strong technical expertise in ESS design, specification, integration and assurance.
• Solid understanding of relevant security legislation, standards and NPSA guidance.
• Experience with compliance auditing and integrated system development.
• Confident stakeholder management skills, ideally with experience working alongside police or security agencies.
• Ability to work independently, manage complex workloads and travel across the region.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Membership of a recognised security body with a commitment to continued professional development.
• Eligibility for SC clearance.
