Our client is a globally respected design and engineering firm, known for delivering complex, sustainable, and high-performance infrastructure around the world. With a legacy of innovation and technical leadership, they play a pivotal role in designing and delivering data centres for some of the biggest names in tech.

They now need a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical delivery on a major data centre facility in Spain.

Madrid, Spain Contract, 12 Months Global Design & Engineering Consultancy

Your Role:

• Lead the electrical fit-out of hyperscale data halls, ensuring all systems meet spec, schedule, and performance standards.
• Manage subcontractors handling electrical containment, mains installation, and cabling.
• Coordinate all phases of electrical delivery-planning, execution, QA/QC, and safety.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain quality oversight across all installations.
• Collaborate closely with design, procurement, and construction teams, ensuring seamless delivery across workstreams.
• Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior stakeholders and clients.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and onsite challenges to ensure timely handover.

Your Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• 4-5+ years of experience in electrical project management within data centre or complex MEP environments.
• Solid understanding of MV/LV systems, UPS, containment, cable routing, and commissioning requirements.
• Proven leadership in managing subcontractor performance and electrical quality delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Proficiency in English (Spanish language skills highly desirable).
• Eligibility to work in Spain and willingness to be site-based in Madrid.
