Senior Electrical Engineer

Absolute Solar and Wind, part of the RSK Group, is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer based out of their head office near Glasgow. This is a full time permanent role.

Absolute Solar and Wind (Absolute) is a leading renewable energy specialist company based near Loch Lomond, Scotland. We help businesses to install contemporary low-carbon technologies in solar, wind, biomass, and energy-efficiency solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Required to analyse and interpret pre-construction information and client specifications.
• Provide technical support required by pre-construction and project delivery teams.
• Interface with the client and client consultants / engineers for specified projects. Co-ordinate with third party contractor and attend start up, site visits and design meetings.
• Continuously develop your skills and stay up to date with the latest technologies, best practices and innovations within the industry.
• Provide design deliverables, such as specifications, drawings, data sheets, and schedules.
• Ensure design risk assessments and design solutions consider value engineering for best value, as well as safety, cost and time constraints.
• Able to provide an equipment schedule to follow the design that has been populated.

Requirements:

• On-site experience (either from an installation, survey, maintenance, design perspective).
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of BSth Edition Amendment 3.
• A recognised Electrical Design Qualification with an understanding of CDM.
• Renewable Knowledge and Understanding (desirable).
• Understanding basic design principles - BS8888.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Working understanding of British standards is essential with the ability to provide engineering experience in the industry in LV / HV, generation, distributions or building services.
