Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Title: Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer

Location: Olen region, Belgium (Full-time onsite)

Contract Type: CDI contract/Freelance

Our client is seeking a Senior E&I Engineer to take technical ownership of large-scale industrial investment projects (up to €30 million). This is a hands-on engineering leadership role, requiring strong coordination across disciplines from project design through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities ️

• Lead the full electrical and instrumentation (E&I) scope from feasibility to handover
• Make technical decisions on materials and equipment based on site conditions
• Coordinate closely with mechanical, site, and external project teams
• Review and interpret schematics and cable calculations (incl. Caneco)
• Ensure ATEX compliance and interpret SIL, PL & Exi safety standards
• Support energy/process-related industrial installations
• Oversee technical specifications, budget control, and scheduling
• Occasional international travel for project follow-up

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's)
• 7+ years' experience in industrial E&I projects
• Solid grasp of instrumentation, ATEX, and safety systems
• Ability to read EPLAN schematics and interpret Caneco results
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with stakeholder collaboration skills
