Senior Ecologist

A respected and growing environmental consultancy based in Tetbury is seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join its expanding team. Located in the heart of the Cotswolds, the practice delivers high-quality ecological and environmental services across the South West and beyond. The Senior Ecologist will;

• Lead a diverse portfolio of ecological projects from tender to completion
• Undertake and oversee protected species surveys and habitat assessments
• Deliver high-quality technical reports, EcIAs, and Biodiversity Net Gain strategies
• Provide expert ecological advice to clients, planners, and design teams
• Mentor junior ecologists and contribute to team development
• Support business development and maintain strong client relationships

• Strong field survey experience and sound botanical knowledge
• Expertise in UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
• Experience producing EcIA and BNG assessments
• Protected species licences (desirable)
• Membership of CIEEM (or working towards)
• Excellent communication, organisation, and project management skills
