The Transaction Services team supports investors and corporates through the entire lifecycle of an M&A transaction by providing independent, data-driven financial due diligence insights. Working alongside FTI Consulting's industry experts, our team enables clients to assess the risks and opportunities of an M&A transaction and reflect them in valuation impacts and contractual safeguards, delivering a comprehensive, decision-ready view that strengthens our clients' position throughout the deal process.
The team sits as part of our Corporate Finance & Restructuring (CF&R) segment that supports companies and investors through turnaround, transformation, and transaction situations. The Paris CF&R practice is one of the firm's key growth pillars in Europe.
Recent Engagements
Assisting a private investment group through M&A due diligence and post-merger integration, coordinating with FTI experts across strategy, operations, and finance
Helping an industrial group design a cross-functional carve-out analysis, preparing stand-alone financials, evaluating stranded costs, TSAs and future cost structure, and building Day-1 readiness plans
Advising a global tech company in defining and negotiating the financial clauses of an SPA, and further supporting in the post-transaction dispute resolution
Supporting numerous Private Equity funds on buy-side and sell-side due diligences as well as transaction value analyses
As a Senior Director, you will work both on client sites and from our Paris 16ème office. Typical assignments include:
Leading and delivering complex and cross-border financial due diligence engagements
Supervising and coaching Seniors Consultants and Consultants, with full accountability for the review and overall quality of their output
Mentoring Senior Consultants and Consultants to support the development of their technical and leadership skills, and overall career growth
Leading communication and liaising with M&A bankers, commercial advisors, lawyers, financing providers, W&I insurers and other relevant parties to the M&A process on the appropriate presentation and impact of diligence findings
Driving internal projects and initiatives (e.g. RFP responses, preparation of business development materials, design of internal tools to enhance service delivery and client relationships)
Networking internally with other service lines and participating in external marketing events to build your network and contribute to the firm's market presence and reputation
Contributing to the constant monitoring of M&A trends and proactively identifying potential deal opportunities
Building, and sustaining long-term relationships with targeted clients and key accounts
Contributing to the development of thought leadership content
What We Look For
Proven experience (> 6 years) in financial due diligence gained within the transaction services teams of Big Four firms or top-tier independent corporate finance advisory firms.
Master's degree from leading "Grandes Ecoles" in business or engineering (or an equivalent university degree in finance) with outstanding academic record. Graduates from leading international institutions may also be consideredp>
Extra points for DSCG (or other internationally recognized equivalents) / CFA Level I or II
Strong analytical skills in financial data analysis and modelling
Curiosity, analytical rigor, proactivity, teamwork, and clear structured communication skills, with a client-service mindset
Fully proficient in French (C1) and English (C1), both in daily work and within an international environment
Online test evaluating logical, numerical, and verbal capabilities
Two rounds of case interviews
