Job Description

Based at our Head Office and Factory in Goole, you'll be a driving force in product development, product support, and regulatory compliance. Working hand-in-hand with our sales team, valued customers, and production, you'll play a crucial part in the Technikraft Team.

About You

You're a qualified Chemist with significant experience in product development and a strong understanding of regulatory landscapes. You're ready to be hands-on, deeply involved in the commercial process, and capable of taking the lead on complex projects. While experience in HI&I (Household, Industrial & Institutional) chemistries is preferred, we're open to candidates with expertise in other industrial chemistry domains.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development: Lead the development of innovative products from initial customer briefs through to successful launch, continuously refining and improving our New Product Introduction (NPI) process.

• Existing Product Optimisation: Drive the refinement of our current product portfolio, proactively identifying opportunities to reformulate in response to evolving regulations and raw material availability.

• Regulatory & Compliance Management: Spearhead regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring all products adhere to relevant regulations (e.g., CLP, REACH, Cosmetics Regulation, Detergents Regulation). You'll also proactively monitor the regulatory horizon to ensure future compliance and identify potential risks.

• Production & Technical Support: Collaborate closely with the operations team to address and resolve production challenges, providing expert chemical insights.

• Raw Material Management: Take charge of managing and refining our raw material data, providing crucial support to the Procurement Manager in the introduction of new materials.

• Label & Documentation Compliance: Oversee the review of artwork to ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations. Work with the SHEQ Manager to ensure robust COSHH documentation for all chemicals handled on-site.

• Customer & Commercial Engagement: Partner with the sales team to provide expert technical support for both new and existing business opportunities.
