We are looking for a Senior Developer Java (Calypso).

Main Tasks:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and relevant third-party frameworks, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Contribute to the customization, integration, and support of the Calypso platform, adapting it to business and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain robust and scalable solutions following software design patterns and best development practices.
• Develop and execute unit tests using appropriate testing libraries, ensuring high code coverage and application quality.
• Collaborate within an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work with relational databases, including writing optimized queries, managing data models, and ensuring data consistency.
• Integrate systems using MQ solutions (e.g., IBM MQ) and JMS, ensuring reliable message exchange between distributed systems.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, supporting build automation, testing, and deployment processes.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis in Linux environments, including the use of Shell scripting when required.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Your Profile and Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Java Developer in an agile environment.
• Experience with Java and 3rd party frameworks.
• Experience with Calypso framework is a plus.
• Experience with Unit testing using testing libraries.
• Good knowledge of Software Design Patterns.
• Knowledge of Linux / Shell Scripting (nice to have).
• Experience working with an MQ solution (IBM MQ) and JMS (nice to have).
• Experience with continuous integration principles and tools.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Hybrid work model, with presence required in Porto office.
