Senior DDI/BlueCat SME (Munich | 90% Remote)

I'm recruiting for a major European research organisation undergoing a large network transformation.

We're looking for an experienced BlueCat specialist to lead a critical DDI migration.

Role Overview

• Lead the implementation of a new BlueCat DDI platform
• Review existing DNS/DHCP/IPAM architecture
• Migrate Legacy systems ( BIND9, ISC DHCP, PowerDNS )
• Configure BlueCat BAM/BDDS components
• Integrate with MS ADDS/Entra ID ADDS
• Implement DNSSEC, PKI, automation workflows
• Run workshops with internal teams + stakeholders
• Produce full documentation + operational handover
• Train customer IT staff
• Provide partial support during transition

Required Skills

• Strong background in DNS, DHCP, IPAM
• Proven hands-on experience with BlueCat
• Solid understanding of IPv4/IPv6 + network discovery
• Experience with DNS security (DNSSEC, PKI)
• Automation/Scripting capability
• Excellent communication + stakeholder skills
• Able to work independently and proactively

Certifications

• BlueCat Certified Professional (or equivalent)

Project Details

• Location: Munich (90% remote)
• Duration: Now - Q2 2026
• Workload: ~20-22 project days
• Hours: Normal business hours
