ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Consultant in Data Governance, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients - helping them deploy and maximize BigID to tackle complex data discovery, privacy compliance, and security challenges. You will work across diverse client environments, translating regulatory requirements into actionable data governance frameworks and driving measurable outcomes for CISOs, DPOs, and CDOs.

Data Privacy implementation programme BigID and Snowflake

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES Consulting & Advisory

• Lead end-to-end BigID implementations for enterprise clients across industries
• Act as primary point of contact for client stakeholders - CISOs, DPOs, Legal, and IT
• Conduct current-state assessments and deliver data governance roadmaps
• Facilitate workshops on data classification, privacy risk, and compliance readiness

Platform Delivery

• Configure BigID for data discovery, classification, DSR automation, and risk scoring
• Integrate BigID with client data ecosystems - cloud, on-prem, SaaS (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake)
• Build client-specific dashboards, reports, and automated policy workflows
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and escalations with minimal oversight

Regulatory & Compliance

• Map client data flows to GDPR, DPDP, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 obligations
• Support RoPA, DPIA, and PIA documentation for client compliance programs
• Advise on data retention, deletion, and breach notification protocols

TECHNICAL SKILLS BigID Platform

• Data discovery & scanning (structured, unstructured, cloud)
• Classification policies, labeling, and tagging
• DSR / DSAR automation workflows
• Risk & privacy modules - correlation, remediation
• BigID Open SDK, APIs, and custom app development

Data & Cloud

• SQL / NoSQL databases - Snowflake
• Cloud platforms: AWS (S3, RDS, Glue), Azure (ADLS, Purview), GCP (BigQuery)
• Data cataloguing tools - Collibra, Alation, Informatica
• ETL pipelines and data lineage concepts

Security & Privacy

• SIEM / DLP tools integration (Splunk, Microsoft Purview)
• Identity & Access Management basics (IAM, RBAC)
• Encryption, tokenization, and data masking techniques

Scripting & Automation

• Python / Bash for automation and data profiling scripts
• REST API integration and JSON/XML data handling

QUALIFICATIONS Experience

• 7+ years in data governance, privacy, or information security
• 4+ years in a client-facing consulting or professional services role
• Proven BigID deployment experience (end-to-end preferred)
• Track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder engagements

Must-Have Knowledge

• GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA - practical application
• Data classification frameworks and metadata management
• Cloud-native data architectures and hybrid environments

Certifications (Preferred)

• BigID Certified Professional
• CIPP/E, CIPM (IAPP)

Soft Skills

• Exceptional client communication - written, verbal, and executive presentations
• Consultative problem-solving and conflict resolution
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
