About the roleWe're seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Data Officer to support high-quality data operations at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. You will manage and enhance our CRM systems, ensure data integrity, streamline processes, and support colleagues organization-wide. This is an exciting opportunity as we prepare to implement a new CRM system that will transform our operations.
As a Senior Data Officer, you will be part of our Data & Insight team within Finance, working closely with Digital, ICT, and Fundraising teams. You will provide technical expertise, develop, and improve data flows and reporting processes. This hands-on role is ideal for someone experienced with data tools, scripting, automation, and collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Data Operations & Standards Manager to ensure high data quality and database integrity through regular checks and processes.
- Assist staff from all departments with CRM system use, including training and adjustments.
- Manage CRM administration, including user permissions, report writing, and data cleansing.
- Lead database development aligned with organizational needs, developing, testing, and implementing automated processes using SQL, Power Automate, Python, and managing system integrations via APIs.
- Improve data flow efficiency by collaborating with colleagues to reduce manual effort and duplication.
- Manage data imports, cleansing, and work with external agencies for accurate data handling.
- Analyze and interpret organizational data sets.
- Support the creation of analysis for monitoring key performance indicators.
- Develop and support data reporting processes with the Insight & Analytics Manager.
- Perform other relevant tasks reflecting the Association's mission and values.
- Enhance database systems and processes, applying problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Automate data processes using SQL, Power Query, Power Automate, and APIs or integrations.
- Understand ETL processes and data flows, following best practices.
- Handle bulk data imports and reconciliation.
- Identify enhancements to data structures.
- Apply knowledge of GDPR and data management best practices.
- Utilize advanced MS Office skills and other IT systems.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and consultative skills, influencing and building credibility.
- Manage a high workload with multiple complex issues in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience with Dynamics 365, Logic Apps, Microsoft Power Platform, and KingswaySoft is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Hybrid model, working at the Northampton office and remotely.
