Senior Data Analytics Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to join the team to help implement new data sets and migrate existing data sets to on-premises data lake, which will eventually migrate to the cloud. This role tackles range of complex software and data challenges, including data management, advanced analytics and business intelligence.

Workload: 100% (Hybrid setup)

Must-Haves:

Minimum of 7 years of work experience in modern data technologies as a Data Analytics Engineer or similar role.

Experience in building data ingestion pipelines for data lake and data warehouse architecture. As well as strong experience in data modelling, design patterns, and building highly scalable applications.

Hands-on development using open-source data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, HBase, Kafka, Impala, ELK, etc., preferably with Cloudera.

Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, etc.

Strong experience with Python.

Proficiency in English

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Lakehouse technologies, particularly Apache Iceberg.

Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow, RunDeck, Nifi, etc.

Experience with CICD pipelines.

Experience working in an agile team environment, with a focus on iterative development and continuous improvement

Experience in Automated Testing, Test-driven Development, debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing code.

Some experience with .NET/C# and cloud-based technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift.

Knowledge of micro-services architecture and experience in API creation and management technologies (REST, SOAP etc)
