The conveyancing department is a core part of the business, handling a significant volume of property transactions and maintaining strong relationships with estate agents, lenders, and developers.

The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Conveyancing Solicitor to join a busy and highly regarded property team.

This role is suited to an experienced solicitor who can manage a substantial caseload independently, while also playing a key role in supporting junior team members and contributing to the ongoing development of the department. You will oversee a broad mix of residential and commercial conveyancing matters, providing expert advice and ensuring transactions are handled efficiently from instruction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a complex and varied caseload of conveyancing matters
• Handling:
  • Residential sales and purchases
  • Re-mortgages and transfers of equity
  • High-value and complex transactions
  • Development site acquisitions and disposals
  • Agricultural and land transactions
  • Commercial property matters (where applicable)
• Supervising and mentoring junior solicitors and support staff
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Liaising with estate agents, lenders, developers, and other stakeholders
• Reviewing and drafting contracts and legal documentation
• Ensuring full compliance with regulatory and professional standards
• Contributing to business development and growth of the conveyancing department

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (Northern Ireland)
• Significant experience in conveyancing (typically 5+ PQE, although all levels will be considered)
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions independently
• Strong technical knowledge of residential and commercial property law
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to work

Desirable

• Experience working with developers and high-volume caseloads
• Existing professional network or client following
• Experience across both residential and commercial conveyancing
