Senior Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor
Our client is a leading multinational engineering consultancy delivering infrastructure solutions across highways, transportation, and public realm sectors.
The ProjectThis role supports the provision of technical and contract management services in connection with highway infrastructure operations and maintenance. Services include contract administration, performance monitoring, NEC4 advisory services, PPP contract oversight, cost control, and compliance monitoring across tunnel and motorway infrastructure assets.
The RoleReporting to the Commission Manager, you will form part of a core project team supporting the client in the management and administration of NEC and PPP contracts. The role requires strong commercial awareness, contract administration expertise, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams with limited supervision.
Experience within highway, transportation, or infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Administer NEC4 contracts, including early warnings and compensation events.
- Assess contractor payment applications and prepare payment certificates.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure budget compliance.
- Evaluate quotations, estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
- Analyse variations and manage claims in accordance with NEC requirements.
- Oversee contractor performance and contractual compliance.
- Review contractor submissions in relation to Task Orders and contract requirements.
- Monitor PPP contract documentation deliverables and compliance obligations.
- Conduct audits and periodic reviews of contractor services.
- Provide advice on NEC4 and related contract matters.
- Support procurement activities and contractor performance assessments.
- Prepare detailed financial and performance reports.
- Identify risks, participate in risk reduction meetings, and record mitigation actions.
- Coordinate internal and external specialist inputs as required.
- Assist in the preparation and management of contract documentation and variations.
- Mentor junior team members and oversee delivery of assigned tasks.
- Level 8 qualification (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' post-graduate experience in infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in NEC contract administration (NEC4 preferred).
- Experience with PPP contracts and infrastructure O &M environments is desirable.
- Excellent written communication and reporting skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent responsibilities.
