Job Description

The role involves working as part of a team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of Loan Applications, including direct communication with introducers and customers via telephone and correspondence, while adhering to established processes and procedures.

Deputising/ People/ Teamwork
  • Deputise for Team Leaders
  • Support Team Leader with BAU, projects, and changes
  • Assist in managing workloads and SLAs, including reporting on volumes and SLAs
  • Delegate and allocate work
  • Serve as a point of referral and escalation
  • Facilitate team discussions with effective communication
  • Assist with BAU work activities
  • Buddy new starters
Consumer Admin Subject Matter Expert
  • Be SME in Consumer admin operations, processes, and systems
  • Keep knowledge and skills up to date to maintain SME status
Training/ Coaching/ Quality Control
  • Support training and onboarding of new starters
  • Provide coaching to existing team members
  • Conduct quality control checks, record results, and provide feedback
  • Support ongoing training and quality improvement
Planning/ Organisation
  • Assist in daily team organization, prioritization, and work assignment
  • Support change management within the team
  • Help set up and train new starters
  • Support scheduling and additional training plans
Regulatory
  • Maintain knowledge of Shawbrook and industry policies, processes, and products
  • Support team compliance with regulatory requirements
Customer (internal & external)
  • Monitor team performance to ensure service levels and quality
  • Identify areas for improvement in customer journey and operational efficiency
  • Develop relationships with Customers, Brokers, and Third Parties
Risk Controls and Compliance
  • Communicate and escalate potential issues or risks promptly
The Person
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in consumer lending and loan administration
  • Experience working with brokers and third parties
  • Strong regulatory knowledge (FCA, JMLSG, BCOBS)
  • Ability to understand and follow documented processes
  • Results-oriented with good analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and confidence
