Description

About us

Transform is a fresh alternative to Big Consulting. As an end to end transformation partner, we define, design, build and operate systems that solve our clients' toughest challenges and seize their biggest opportunities. That often means combining strategy, data, AI, technology and change management. Sometimes we manage and operate the systems we create; other times, we hand it over for the client to run - standing by to make improvements when things change. It all comes down to making an impact: improving lives, supporting citizens, streamlining workflows and making the world a better place. We specialise in public sector and public facing organisations-from government agencies and local authorities to energy, utilities, transportation and healthcare. We work also for dynamic brands across automotive, retail, financial services and consumer goods. We work closely with our clients, often on site; to deliver impact you're keen to help us build the workforce of the future - we should talk.

The Role

Acting as a Senior Consultant at Transform, you will be working on a variety of consulting projects to help our clients solve their knotty challenges. You will use problem solving skills and objective thinking across a range of industry areas, including local government, transport, trade, justice and health. As a Senior Consultant, you'll be responsible and own key areas, focusing on building our capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Play an active role in fee earning client engagements and, when possible, internal projects that help develop Transform's consulting practice. Produce deliverables and positive outcomes for the client, taking responsibility and supporting colleagues. Understand the variety of roles that make up delivery and proactively stretch yourself by taking on new challenges. Hone skills through active learning, practice and working effectively with others.
  • Management of delivery engagements: Work up to and/or take responsibility for day to day management on client engagements under oversight from Principal Consultants and/or Directors. Demonstrate the ability to step up at short notice and provide less formal leadership or guidance to others when needed.
  • Personal development and helping others: Refine capability in both breadth and depth of consultancy skills. Develop own preferences and strengths, show how your skills contribute to the whole and seek opportunities to support others. Take every available opportunity to learn through the work you do. Plan and execute personal development objectives and goals.
  • Supporting Transform's growth and culture: Identify new opportunities through network or current clients. Open doors to growing yourself and others; involve yourself in sales and proposals to develop skills and understanding. Communicate the Transform brand, values and experience. Support new colleagues on client/internal assignments and identify potential new colleagues.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Extensive transformation experience, in either central or local government environments.
  • Understanding of working in strategy, change management, research, stakeholder engagement, innovation and analysis.
  • Good problem solving, analytical skills and rigorous approach to challenges. Think objectively, synthesise information and insight, work collaboratively with data and technical colleagues, and develop robust, defensible solutions and recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, calm under pressure, emotionally resilient, and effective at relationship management.
  • Strong presentation, writing, communication and analytical skills, with excellent listening and questioning.
  • Experience working directly with clients and supporting project management.
  • Integrity and presence; self motivated and keen to make a difference.
  • Capability to evaluate organisations, audit assets and capabilities, and identify future technology, skills and culture.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, flexible 'can do' attitude with a curious and inquisitive approach to work.
  • Experience in reviews, analysis, evaluation of impact and options.
  • Enthusiasm about digital and its effect on companies and individuals.
  • Growth mindset.
  • AI curiosity and readiness to embrace opportunities.
