Role Description :

• We are looking for a ServiceNow ITOM CMDB Expert to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB capabilities. This role is essential for ensuring accurate visibility of IT assets across hybrid environments, supporting IT operations, compliance, and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Discovery Strategy & Planning
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define discovery scope, strategy, and data sources.
• Identify and prioritize IT assets across cloud and on-premises environments.

Discovery Source Configuration

• Configure and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery for:
• Windows/Linux servers
• Kubernetes clusters
• Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
• Network appliances (Cisco, Juniper)
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Set up MID servers, credentials, probes, sensors, and patterns.

Integration Management

• Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Ensure seamless data ingestion from multiple discovery sources using APIs and automation.

CMDB Data Model Alignment

• Ensure discovered data aligns with the CMDB structure.
• Recommend and implement model extensions or customizations as needed.

Data Validation & Reconciliation

• Develop reconciliation rules to resolve data conflicts and maintain CI accuracy.
• Implement data validation processes to ensure CMDB integrity.

Health & Performance Monitoring

• Monitor the performance and completeness of discovery processes.
• Build dashboards and alerts to track CMDB health and data quality.

Documentation

• Create and maintain documentation for discovery configurations, integration guides, and validation procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB.
• Proven success in building and managing CMDBs in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of CMDB data modeling and ITIL Configuration & Change Management.
• Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with ServiceNow.
• Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Shell, JavaScript.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, Discovery Implementation Specialist).
• Experience with data reconciliation engines and CMDB health monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
