The OpportunityWe now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercially focused individual to join our Customers & Connections function to enhance the customer experience. As Senior Connection Contracts Specialist, you will prepare and issue connection contract offers to new and existing customers connecting directly to the transmission system and to the Distribution System Operator (DSO) for those connecting indirectly to the transmission system via the distribution system.
In this role you will oversee the preparation and issuance of transmission use of system (TUoS) offers for customers using the transmission system and coordinate the contract management of all connection and transmission use of system contracts to ensure compliance and that all parties meet their contractual obligations. This position is a senior member of the team; key to success in this role is collaboration, working with industry and teams across EirGrid to drive out appropriate solutions to a range of complex technical and commercial issues.
The TeamThe Infrastructure office within EirGrid comprises highly skilled professionals with backgrounds in engineering and business/commerce. The Infrastructure Office is responsible for leading the development and delivery of the power system and interconnection investment programmes, in collaboration with partners, customers and communities. The Customers & Connections function prepares and manages contracts for connection and use of the transmission system in Ireland and develops related connection policy as the industry evolves. The team also leads the close collaboration with industry customers and related stakeholders who are key for the achievement of renewable targets, the continuation of sustainable economic growth, supporting security of supply and the transition of decarbonise the Irish power system. The team continually seeks opportunities to develop collaborative ways of working with industry to drive better outcomes for all.
About You- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, typically with 4+ years relevant experience.
- Broad understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of the power industry.
- Strong customer and commercial awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills along with the ability to work collaboratively across business areas with a proven ability to influence others.
- Excellent communicator, with the ability to quickly grasp technical and / or commercial concepts and articulate these concepts to non technical audiences and business leaders.
- Passionate and engaging with a drive to deliver the EirGrid Strategy with and through others.
- Demonstrated flexible working approach with the ability to lead and prioritise a wide range of demands and activities while maintaining a professional and positive focus.
