The key objective for our compliance team is to ensure that we continue to meet and exceed our regulatory reporting, licence and statutory obligations, along with implementing a matrix approach which will supports us in improving our effectiveness and efficiency in this area.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

With these high standards in mind, we are looking for aSenior Compliance and Assurance Analyst to join us to continue the good work.

In this bespoke role you'll be required to d eliver compliance and assurance activities to professional, ethical and quality standards within the timescales set out. In this high-profile role, there will be an expectation to deliver continuous improvement, undertaking deep dives and lessons learnt sessions to ensure that that we can deliver ongoing improvements in compliance assessments and monitoring.

As this role works across the whole of Severn Trent Group, it will be your responsibility for m anaging the process for internal and external regulatory investigations, to professional, ethical and quality standard. In addition to this, you will be responsible for the coordination and monitoring of EIR and Ofwat requests, ensuring that responses meet the required regulatory standards and SLAs.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Promote a culture of compliance and assurance best practice, recognised as an expert for the business in this area.
  • Own accountability for managing regulatory casework and consultations into and out of the business both directly and indirectly through key stakeholders. Ensuring responses are to professional, ethical and quality standards within required timescales, applying judgement to define the scope and testing approach to ensure key risks are addressed.
  • Provide governance and support across the business to drive right first-time activity. Develop the analysis and present this to the relevant stakeholders (up to and including Directors) to support a culture of front-line ownership.
  • Own the Group Compliance and Assurance programme of work, ensuring timely updates are provided in a cost-effective way for both internal team comm cells and wider business comm cells.
  • Deliver strategic audit and assurance activities to professional, ethical and quality standards within the allocated time, applying judgement to define the scope and testing approach to ensure key risks are addressed.
