Job OverviewOntario Power Generation (OPG) seeks a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven professional for the role of Senior Communications Advisor.
Reporting to the Sr Manager, Corporate Relations & Projects, you will build relationships and engage with national and international audiences on the future of new nuclear growth. Your role includes supporting corporate relations and communications strategies, managing high-profile delegations and tours, and cultivating stakeholder relationships. You will also handle external communications, emergency communication services, and community outreach programs.
Key Accountabilities- Plan and deliver high-profile delegations and tours for national and international audiences.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with industry leaders, government, and stakeholders.
- Design and implement corporate relations and communication strategies aligned with business goals.
- Develop community relations, employee communications, and corporate functions strategies, monitor their effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business strategies.
- Manage the Information Centre programs, including community outreach, tours, and events.
- Perform other duties as required.
- 4 years of University training in relevant fields.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Broad industrial experience, especially in communication techniques for diverse groups.
- Familiarity with OPG Nuclear & Electricity Production, safety policies, and nuclear technology.
- Experience in clear communication on complex topics and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
