Senior Commercial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function on a large-scale data centre project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of the project, ensuring profitability, risk mitigation, and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of the project from pre-construction through to final account.
• Manage client contracts, subcontractor procurement, and commercial negotiations.
• Oversee cost planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
• Manage change control, variations, claims, and dispute resolution processes.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Lead and mentor the project commercial team.
• Collaborate closely with project directors, construction managers, and client representatives to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a Senior Commercial Manager role with a Tier 1 contractor.
• Strong background delivering large-scale data centre, mission-critical, or major construction projects.
• Excellent knowledge of contract administration, procurement, and cost management.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing commercial teams on complex, fast-paced projects.
