The Opportunity
Join a leading international Law firm as a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer. A newly created role within a major cloud transformation initiative. You'll be supporting the firm's move from on-premises to Microsoft Azure. Working closely with global technology teams, driving cloud strategy, and implementing secure, automated, and high-performing infrastructure that underpins business-critical systems worldwide. This position combines hands-on engineering with architectural influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the firm's transition from on-premises to Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Implement, optimise, and secure hybrid environments across global regions.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and compliance using Terraform and PowerShell.
- Support and enhance infrastructure performance, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with platform and security teams to ensure alignment with global standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues as an escalation point for operations.
- Develop and document infrastructure guidelines and guardrails.
- Participate in global project delivery and occasional out-of-hours collaboration.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- 5+ years' experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering.
- Proven success in Azure migration or transformation projects.
- Strong skills across Azure IaaS/PaaS, Azure Migrate, and governance models.
- Experience in VMware, Cisco UCS, Dell EMC, and hybrid datacentres.
- Automation using Terraform and PowerShell.
- Understanding of networking and security (Cisco ACI, F5, Palo Alto, SD-WAN).
- Sound grasp of information security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable:
- Exposure to Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience in professional services or other regulated industries.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, etc.)
