Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist based at University Hospital Crosshouse and Ayr.
What you will do:
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist to join the clinical pharmacy team within NHS Ayrshire & Arran. The post-holder shall work across the critical care units on both the University Hospital Ayr and University Hospital Crosshouse sites, surgical inpatient wards, pre-operative assessment clinics and undertake a commitment to the anticoagulation clinics across the organisation. This post provides an excellent opportunity for development of skills within the setting of critical care, across surgical services and within anticoagulation management as part of a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Support shall be given for progression through the UKCPA Critical Care Foundation course if this has not already been completed. This post requires working across both acute sites and within outpatient clinics located within East Ayrshire Community Hospital and Ayrshire Central Hospital. The post involves participation on the weekend rotas for the acute sites, public holiday working and participation in the late night rotas for dispensaries.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
- Relevant clinical pharmacy experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Computer literate with knowledge of information technology
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, in a pharmacy and multi-disciplinary environment.
- Required to demonstrate an expert level of clinical pharmacy knowledge skills, clinical reasoning and judgement
- Requires advanced arithmetic skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and guidelines
- Sound reasoning and judgement
- Good organisational skills
- Evidence of CPD
