The Women & Children's Directorate, part of the Acute Operating Division, is a world leader in child and maternal health services. The Royal Hospital for Children on the South Glasgow University Hospitals Campus hosts many national and regional specialist services.

Job Description

We invite applications for a Senior Clinical Fellow in paediatric otolaryngology, suitable for an experienced specialist registrar. The post offers extensive exposure to paediatric airway disorders within the Scottish National Service for Complex Paediatric Airway Reconstruction. The department also handles a broad workload including head and neck surgery, chronic otitis media, bone-anchored hearing aids, and audiological medicine.

The successful candidate will join a team comprising seven consultants, two specialty doctors, two registrars, a GP trainee, a clinical development fellow, and specialist nurses. The department is involved in research and education activities.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should hold a CCT or equivalent in otolaryngology and seek additional paediatric experience before a consultant role. Candidates without a CCT but with a National Training Number and support from their program director and postgraduate dean are also encouraged to apply, as the post is approved for Specialist Registrar training.

Additional Requirements

Applicants without UK foundation training within 3.5 years of the start date must submit a CREST form, completed by a suitable consultant.
